Connecting to the TetraScience Link

If you are not able to connect to TetraScience Link using our mobile app (both iOS and Android are available) and you can not establish USB connection with the TetraScience Link either, there is another way for you to connect to your TetraScience Link, but you first need to find the TetraScience Link's (Link's) IP address.

If your company has an IT department

  1. Find the technical team and ask for the IP of the Link. The host name of your Link is something like "TLA*****".
  2. To verify this is this the Link you have, paste the IP address in the window (like the one below) after you open the "Set up a new TetraScience Link" portal in the dashboard:
  3. You will see the serial number of this Link if you have a successful connection, you can compare the number with the one on the back of you Link (there is a white label on the back of the enclosure).

If you have the access to the router's admin portal

Pre-requisite:

  1. Your Link is connected to your personal/company Wi-Fi or ethernet port which is routed to the same router
  2. Your computer is also connected to the same router
  3. You can login to the router's admin portal

Steps:

  1. Once you are in the admin portal of the router, look for "Connected devices" or similar.
  2. The device name of your Link is something like "TLA*****". You can see the IP address of this device.
  3. To verify this is the Link you have, paste the IP address in the window (like the one below) after you open the "Set up a new device" portal in the dashboard:
  4. You will see the serial number of this Link if you have a successful connection, you can compare the number with the one on the back of you Link.
